Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 250 grams fresh green peas (peeled)


  • 1 bunch methi leaves


  • 1/2 cup milk


  • 12-15 cashews or 1 tbsp each of melon and pumpkin seeds 1 medium onion cubed


  • 3-4 garlic


  • 2-3 green chillies


  • 1" ginger


  • 1" cinnamon stick


  • 2 cardamom pods


  • Salt 1/4 tbsp


  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee

Directions

  • Peel and blanch the fresh green peas. 5 minutes in the microwave on high power then soaked in cold water
  • Wash drain and chop the methi leaves
  • In a mixer, grind the onion ginger seeds cinnamon and cardamom to a smooth paste with a little water
  • In a wide pan melt the ghee/ add oil and fry the methi leaves till they wilt
  • Add the ground paste and fry till the raw smell goes away
  • Add the milk slowly when stirring so that the paste is well combined
  • As the mixture starts to bubble add the blanched green peas and enough water to get a smooth gravy consistency
  • Adjust the seasoning and add water if required.
  • Bring everything to a boil
  • Serve hot with phulkas or rotis 💚
